Say “I do”
if you love each other – God does as well.
The celebration of your marriage in church expresses your mutual commitment – but also the commitment of God who loves humanity with a love, that doesn’t expect an answer, the commitment of Jesus Christ, who gives his life away and who loves the church to which you belong as well.
Many weddings are celebrated within a Eucharistic celebration (also called mass). If you really want it and mass is of great importance to you, it goes without saying that you may celebrate your wedding within a mass. Alternatively your marriage may be celebrated within a solemn “Liturgy of the word”. In either case take into consideration the religious sentiments of your family and guests. Please discuss these options with the minister present for your liturgy.
After the religious celebration you may want to welcome your guests to a first glass of champagne between the beautiful staircases or in the hall under the church. Don’t forget to book and rent it in time.
